Week Two (Botswana)

We started week two leaving Maun for the Makgadikgadi National park. This was a very remote outing where we spent two nights in a remote and basic campsite with no one in site for miles. We were lucky to experience the start of the Zebra and Wildebeest migration from the north to the south. We also experienced the Flamingo migration from the south to the north in these pans. In the Naxi Pans did we see the biggest Baobabs trees in Africa.

We spent two nights camping at Nata Lodge, on the edge of Makgadikgadi and one of our favorite places. From Nata we were off to Kasane for two more nights to be able to do a day drive in Chobe National Park and also to go on a boat cruise on the Zambesi in the park.

This was a wonderful week with a lot of new experiences in Botswana.
