Trip Plan
Our trip start off at Home in Cape Town, South Africa, the plan is to leave home in the second halve of June 2019. We will then first drive to the northern Free State to visit some of our family for 3 days before departing for Botswana.
While driving from the south to the north of Botswana are we planning to visit the Great Central Kalahari National park and then moving across to Makgadikgadi and then finally exiting Botswana at the Kazangula border.
Once in Zambia are we planning to drive to Malawi via the bottom part of Zambia. We want to visit Victoria Fall, the Kariba Lake and experience the country.
In Malawi are we heading for the Malawi Lake and spend at least a week on the lakes shores experiencing the culture, food and lifestyle next to this wonderful place. After a well-rested week should we be looking forward to move on to Tanzania.
There is no definite plan for Tanzania, only that we want to visit Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar, Serengeti, Ngorogoro, and Lake Victoria. We will however do a lot more in this country and see where the road take us. We are keeping an open mind that we might go and see the Rift Valley in Kenia while we are not too far from it. The Serengeti or Kenia will be our turning point from where after we start to move south again.
Back in Zambia are we planning to visit the northern part of the country and the national parks in it, before moving into Botswana where we plan to visit the Chobe National Park and the Okovango Delta.
From Botswana are we visiting Namibia, a country that we have visited a lot of time before. We will be visiting Epupa Falls and Kaokoland, were we have not been before and then moving south to visit a couple of places well known to us before we return home at the end of September 2019.
